Shipping & Delivery

We currently ship within the U.S., Canada and Mexico due to high shipping costs elsewhere. We plan to expand international shipping in the near future. If you are willing to pay such fees and you are located outside of these regions, feel free to contact us, and we will try our best to accommodate you.

For customers outside of the U.S., as a friendly reminder there may be duties and taxes incurred on your shipment that you will be responsible for. Please note that La Reina Charm does not have any control over these fees. For more information, please contact your local customs office.

If you live in the Buffalo, New York area we offer free curbside local delivery. Please be sure to select local delivery in the shipping section at check-out.

Please allow 4-5 business days for your order to be shipped. You will receive a confirmation email upon purchasing and updated emails such as tracking and delivery updates.

We currently offer shipping within the U.S., Canada and Mexico. We plan to expand international shipping in the near future. Free Shipping for orders over $100.

U.S. Nationwide:

USPS Standard Package:
Standard mail will typically be delivered under 5 days locally. Nationwide shipping can take anywhere from 7-10+ business days. 

USPS Priority Mail:
Packages can be delivered within 2-3 business days depending on your location. 

USPS Priority Mail Express: Packages can be delivered within 1 business day.

International:

Canada:Packages are shipped via USPS Economy International. Please allow 6-10+Business days to receive your order.

Mexico:Packages are shipped via USPS Economy International. Please allow 6-10+Business days to receive your order.

We apologize for the inconvenience, as local delivery is only offered within a certain radius. If you find your location does not qualify, please contact us atlareinacharm@gmail.com prior to ordering so that we may provide you with the address for pick-up.

If you are a University at Buffalo employee, you are welcome to include your office address for a local delivery at the University.

Orders

During peak holiday seasons, orders may suffer a slight delay in shipment. In addition, La Reina Charm will not be held accountable for a delay in shipment caused by shortage of postal workers, weather conditions, issues with international customs, or any other circumstances beyond our control.

All our handcrafted and limited edition manufactured jewelry are carefully inspected before packaging. As with anything handcrafted, claps or other pieces can come loose. We’re happy to make it right! Although these can be a quick fix by yourself, you are welcome to contact us to send the necklace back for a free repair.

• Name and order information

• Photo of jewelry piece

• Description of the issue

Please note that you will need to pay for the shipment of sending the order back to us. Shipment fees are not covered by us. 

La Reina Charm jewelry is handcrafted to order and does not accept returns or exchanges. All sales are final. 

We strive to create new collections as items are sold. However, we do try to re-stock typically, every 4 weeks depending on my schedule. Thank you for being patient as I restock and create new designs.

All of our orders are packaged with a special touch! Your jewelry will be safely nestled in a velvet pouch, along with a wrapping, a free cleaning cloth and a handwritten note card. If you are ordering as a gift for someone, please indicate this in the note box at check out with the following: name of the person and what you would like the card to say. In addition, we will not include the price of your order in the shipping receipt.

Materials

The quality of our jewelry is critical to us. That’s why each piece comes with high-quality real 14k or higher gold plating, gold-filled, gold vermeil. or stainless steel.

Our custom limited-edition designs are made with .925 sterling silver as the base and are plated with 1 micron or higher of 18k gold. For reference, luxury brands use 1 micron or higher as well. This approach ensures our jewelry lasts for many years with proper care.

Our coins are real currency from around the world. Coins are authentic and never replicas. The value of coins are also factored into the price.

Some coins will be very rare and therefore more expensive as they are considered artifcats in history. Very rare coins are considered collectable to the coin collecting community.

By jewelry industry standard gold-filled legally requires 5% pure gold by weight. This is a regulated process that involves bonding layers of solid 14K gold or higher over a core of high-quality base metal resulting in a durable and quality product. This is a great option if you are looking to keep your jewelry looking fantastic for many years with little maintenance along the way. 

Our pieces that use gold-filled materials are a superior option for those who wish to have high quality, beautiful and free of irritating components. Yes, that means no green skin! Gold-filled is also a great alternative to solid gold jewelry but with prices that are affordable. 

Gold plating is the process of layering real karat gold over a base metal such as silver, copper, or other. To be considered gold plated as per the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the gold layer should be at least 0.5 microns. For reference a micron is one millionth of a meter. The thicker the gold layer, the longer it maintains its finish and less likely to tarnish easily. For reference, high-quality luxury brands that have gold-plated jewelry consist of 1-micron or higher. 

According to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC), U.S. jewelry may be described or marked as “vermeil” if it consists of a base of a high-quality base metal of sterling silver plated with gold with a minimum thickness throughout equivalent to 2.5 microns. 

Note that in Canada, the standards are different for labelling an item gold vermeil and only require the plating thickness to be 1.0 micron thick.

Stainless steel is a great affordable alternative metal from sterling silver. One of the great things about stainless steel jewelry, is that it holds up to wear and tear, and its durability has made it a popular choice for everyday wear.

Select this type of jewelry if you are looking for pieces that will withstand tarnish. If you prefer to wear your jewelry in wet conditions, this is the jewelry type for you!

Repairs and Customization

Yes, we can certainly customize the length. Most of our necklaces range from 17 to 25 inches. If you would like a shorter length, upon check out please indicate in the note box that you would like the necklace shorter and let us know the length you would prefer.

We have a 1-year warranty on all jewelry in which we are happy to take care of any adjustments and repairs. Life happens! After the warranty however, we do have fees in place for any repairs. At La Reina Charm, we strive to bring your favorite jewelry sparkle back to you! Please see the repair fees below:

• Minor Repairs (clasps, connectors, new charms etc.): $8.00

• New Chain / Replacement: The cost varies by chain type(Gold-Filled/Gold-Plated/Gold-Vermeil)and length. Please contact me for your preferred chain plating and length for a quote. 

• Coin pendant cleaning/polishing: $10 per coin pendant

• Full Necklace Repairs: Please contact us for a custom quote.
